Psychology Dr, LPC-Clinical Intern
Klinik Psikolog, Cinsel Terapist (Aday)
Being able to touch people's lives, understand them better and guide them to discover their inner world has always been a great passion for me. This curiosity that started in high school led me to study psychology. Since then, I have continued to improve myself both academically and clinically.
Throughout my 10+ years of professional experience, I have worked with individuals and couples to help them address their relationship dynamics, sexual lives and existential questions in a healthier way. Thanks to my expertise in sexual therapy and existential therapy, I support individuals and couples in understanding and overcoming the difficulties they experience. I also guide my clients in areas such as depression, anxiety disorders, relationship problems and personal development. I believe that each client is unique and I conduct therapy processes with a personalized, holistic approach.
My academic journey began with my undergraduate education in psychology at Istanbul University. Then, I completed both my master's and doctorate degrees at Ondokuz Mayıs University, specializing in the field of psychology of religion. During my academic years, I conducted research on topics such as social-cultural psychology, sexuality, religion and spirituality psychology, and shared my knowledge in this field with various academic publications.
I moved to the United States to gain international experience and further develop myself. After spending some time as a visiting researcher at Georgia Southern University, I am continuing my postgraduate education in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling at the University of North Georgia. In the process of becoming a licensed therapist in the United States, I aim to provide more comprehensive support to my clients by enriching both my academic and clinical experiences.
The most important elements in my understanding of therapy are empathy, confidentiality and respect. I care about creating a trust-based, supportive environment with my clients and being there for them on their inner journey. I believe that each individual has their own unique story and I see the therapy process as a collaborative journey.
I offer my therapy services in Turkish and English, and I guide my clients from different cultural backgrounds with a multi-faceted perspective. I am here to support you in coping with the challenges that life brings.
